Dr. Richard Van Gurp carefully researches each technology he employs to be sure that it will enhance each patient’s experience. One example is The Wand®, a computerized and often completely painless delivery system for numbing the teeth and gums. He was one of the first in Charlotte to use this system when it was introduced in 1997 and is the only general dentist provider in the Arboretum / Ballantyne area.
Dr. Richard Van Gurp was also one of the first in his locale to acquire CEREC® CAD/CAM single-visit crown and veneer technology. In fact, Dr. Van Gurp has even lectured and was interviewed on television on this topic.
Lasers are also a part of the repertoire at Van Gurp Dentistry, allowing Dr. Van Gurp to treat most gum disease without surgery. And of course, digital x-rays not only enhance the diagnostic ability of Dr. Richard Van Gurp but also emits 80% less radiation than traditional x-rays.
